The feminist theories can really work in noir films. For example we can have Laura Mulvey because we see that men are mostly the centre of the plot. While women in noir play mostly supporting role rather than main role. Also the appearance of women is always good-looking which sometimes makes them look like nothing but an object which is Van Zoonen theory. They sometimes act as weak while male characters are portrayed strong physically.
